Masterclass in Fine Tuning of Selection & Interview Skills

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, the Centre for Leadership Performance ran a fun and informative masterclass on interview skills aimed at those about to face any sort of interview or selection process.

Teenagers from across Cumbria took part in this hands-on high-energy 'Interview Masterclass' delivered by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development at Energus.

It was organised by CfLP as part of the Dream Placement initiative to equip students with the skills they need to succeed, and offered further support to those teenagers who did not secure placements. The 16-18 year olds practiced their interview skills in 'real-world' simulations, face-to-face with professionals who provided practical guidance and advice on how to win the opportunities they want.

Participants...

  • Took part in different fun activities during the session that encouraged the use of good preparation, body language and communication when in an interview situation
  • Went away feeling that you can approach your next interview with confidence
  • Understood the benefits of preparation before an interview or selection event
  • Felt energised and motivated after the event
