Four students from Cumbria were chosen to take up week-long placements within the NHS across Morecambe Bay.

It is part of an initiative called 'Dream Placement' by the Better Care Together Careers and Engagement hub.

The chosen students get to learn about leadership from within various companies.

This year, chosen out of more than 200 applicants were Molly from Milnthorpe, Georgia from Ulverston, Alexandra from Carlisle and Will from Cockermouth.

"This has been better than any work experience I have ever done. I never realised how many different aspects there are to the NHS. It's been great finding out about all of the ongoing developments."
Alex Cambell, sixth form student from Carlisle

The students took part in ward rounds at Royal Lancaster Infrimary and took part in sessions with the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
