NHS Clinical Skills in the Classroom
Work Awareness Week

Students wanting to apply for the NHS Clinical Skills in the Classroom (NHS-CSC) work awareness week 2018 should complete the form below. Please fill in all boxes. The deadline is midnight on Sunday March 25, 2018.

Note: To be eligible to apply for a place on NHS-CSC you must:

  • live in Cumbria or be in full-time education in Cumbria
  • be in Yr 10
  • be able to make your own way to the venue (transport will not be provided)
  • have chosen appropriate GCSEs and be interested in Clinical Research, Nursing, General Practice, Mental Health or another relevant clinical area of work in the NHS
  • have, or be able to obtain, permission from your school / college to attend one of the available weeks:

North Cumbria — Monday July 2 to Friday July 6
Education & Learning Centre, Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle
West Cumbria — Monday July 9 to Friday July 13
Education & Learning Centre, West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven

After the closing date your application will go through a selection process. You will be informed whether or not you have been successful by the middle of April. If you are selected you will be sent further information including a parental consent form which must be completed and returned before you can attend the programme.
