The Centre for Leadership Performance are full of the some of the most enthusiastic, driven people I’ve ever worked with! Fabulous initiatives that really have a positive impact in Cumbrian communities

We have a great relationship with the Centre. We have a lot in common and like to collaborate on projects that we are both passionate about. We have used CfLP many times, more recently to deliver some leadership training to our graduates and 1:1 leadership coaching to a staff member.

This was our first year taking part in Dream Placement although we have previously worked with the CfLP on Bright Stars which has been very successful and enjoyable. Dream Placement is a really good way of raising our profile with young people in our region, and also drawing attention to recycling and waste management as a career, that otherwise perhaps wouldn’t be thought about by the students. Our placement student (Jesse) was fantastic – very interested and enthusiastic throughout the whole week, demonstrated by an excellent presentation of his project at the end of the week back to our business. He was taken to a number of our different sites during the week to show the nature and complexity of work we do around waste management and recycling as well as spending time in our offices with our people, to understand the customer journey.
Personally, I really enjoyed coaching and mentoring Jesse during his time with us; seeing the business through his eyes gave me a refreshing perspective on what we do, but also seeing his skills and confidence develop over the week was reward in itself

I have been involved with Bright Stars since its inception – first as a head teacher and then as
chair of the judging panel for the last two years. I have seen the scheme grow and also been able
to appreciate the tremendous value it offers to the children involved, to teachers and to the
companies supporting them.
Bright Stars enables the children to use a range of skills they learn in the classroom in a real
world scenario, working alongside adults from local businesses to broaden their experience and
knowledge.
A key element in Bright Stars is collaboration and the children are able to take on different roles
including leadership roles, which provide an excellent foundation for their future development,
building confidence in their own abilities, and their aspirations for the future.
Companies taking part are having a hugely positive impact on these children, and the company
representatives rightly take a great deal of pride in their involvement.

We have an on going relationship with Catherine Eve. She has taken the time to understand what is important to Futamura and how we operate. This gives CfLP the opportunity to develop training for us that is absolutely fit for purpose. We get excellent results whenever we collaborate.

The quality of delivery is excellent and they have a great subject knowledge. We continue to develop our leaders and CfLP are a key part of that development.
