Our NEW Young Leaders Programme is designed to provide young people with essential leadership skills for their furture. It includes an introduction to leadership covering team dynamics, leadership styles, and engagement strategies.
As part of our mission to develop Cumbria’s leaders of today and tomorrow, the Centre for Leadership Performance have created an integrated ladder of lifelong leadership learning, that enables us to bring together educators, employers and young people to share leadership knowledge, skills and experiences and foster opportunities for everyday leadership.
Learn 2 Lead
A 6-month programme developing networks of diverse young leaders from across Cumbria to learn from each other, share best practice, develop their leadership skills and build vital support networks. Contact us for more information on Learn 2 Lead.
Cumbria Future Leaders
A free signposting and brokerage service for young people aged 16-25 and a mechanism by which the various youth boards, youth groups, young people and young professional networks work together for greater impact. CFL is the diverse youth voice for Cumbria, driving their agenda and debating matters that are most important to them.
A bespoke programme that builds ambition, soft skills, and employability. This programme is running as a series of 90-minute sessions on a fortnightly basis and covers Attitude and mindset, Challenging Peer Power and Personal Thinking. Ambition, Confidence. Bespoke Young People Programmes
We are passionate about nurturing and developing the talents and aspirations of young people throughout their learning journey. We work with young people, educators and employers across Cumbria.
A 6-week development programme providing young people with exciting opportunities to visualise and shape their communities and town centres. Young people work alongside a range of local business mentors for expertise input which provide an insight into local careers, roles and skills needed to deliver against any professional project. The Leading Change Campaign will enable us to engage with 12–14-year-old’s across Copeland and Allerdale to inspire and nurture future aspirations and empower young people to make decisions, to make commitments and ultimately to make a difference to their communities.
