Cumbria 100
Cumbria 100 – giving a voice to young people in Cumbria
To give a voice to young people in Cumbria and reflect their opinions, Cumbria Future Leaders has launched Cumbria 100; a way of ‘taking the temperature’ on current issues or key questions.
Cumbria 100 will set up what amounts to a large focus group. The number – 100 – makes it simple to convert the answers into percentages for reporting to Cumbria Future Leaders, other stakeholders and into the general news/media.
The Cumbria 100 participants will be asked to supply their phone numbers and agree to respond to a question delivered to them by text message and answered within 48 hours of being asked. The response will take just a minute – all you need is a phone and an opinion.
More information on the issue or topic will be available through a link to a web page – included alongside the text question.
Each question will require a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answer. If participants want to also comment on the question or qualify their answers they can do so on the linked web page.
The Cumbria 100 polls will also feed into Cumbria Future Leaders Your Future. Here Your Voice Thursday on-line discussions on the same question or topic. The discussion will begin with For and Against speakers putting forward their arguments, and they will then be part of the discussion for the session.
If you are aged 16-25 and would like to sign up to be one of the Cumbria 100, please click here to register.
