Your Voice Topics

Local Government Reorganisation

In response to young people in the Cumbria Future Leaders networking telling us they are interested in the Local Government Reorganisation process, we worked with Cumbria County Council to facilitate a Your Voice event on the topic in May 2022.

Geological Disposal Facility

In November 2021, Cumbria Future Leaders facilitated a "Your Voice" event for young people in Cumbria to hear from scientists and Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) about nuclear waste disposal and the process of hosting a GDF in Cumbria.

Cumbria Coal Mine Debate

In May 2021, Cumbria Future Leaders facilitated a "Your Voice" event for young people in Cumbria to hear from leading professionals, and debate for and against the proposed new coal mine in Whitehaven, Cumbria. You can watch the full event recording here.
