Our students thoroughly enjoyed it!

DP22 Jack Farrington Energy Coast UTC student

Jack, an Energy Coast UTC student has attended our Dream Placement Selection Event 2 years in a row. Jack has said that the event has “helped build his confidence” and “opened his eyes up to the different roles available to him”.

“This half term week has been such a fantastic learning experience in relation to the PR and marketing world; including the use of content, social media, videography, graphic design, and as well what is necessary to run a successful business. “

Our host companies were impressed!

“The students completely exceeded our expectations and were super keen to be involved in the projects.  We made it clear from the offset that this was a two-way experience, and we wanted to hear their candid feedback throughout – and they didn’t disappoint.  It was an experience that all who took part are keen to support and our employees got as much out of the week as our students did.”

Nuclear Waste Services Social Responsibility Manager, Tracy Badham

“The caliber of the students was very high.  I have been involved in Dream Placement for successive years and the standard keeps getting better. I interviewed six young people and it was really tough selecting two for our placement.  Like many other companies we have a massive recruitment drive, and Dream Placement is part of our longer term vision to ensure we encourage young people within Cumbria to join our business.”

“The quality of all the students was extremely high – they were engaging and genuinely eager to understand more about the organisation.
