Anyone recognise this equation? Put simply it states that the rate of learning needs to exceed the rate of change, not easy right now! Like most processes, by reflecting on and reviewing how we learn, we can improve the efficiency of the process AND improve the outcome.
Several studies and personal experiences from Centre clients have demonstrated the benefits of integrated and social learning, by combining a number of learning methods and involving others in our learning we are more likely to:
Be more engaged and have more fun
Retain more information
Adopt new skills more rapidly
Embed new behaviours for lasting change
These facts aren’t new but they do have real value at times like these, when the rate of change means the need to learn and learn quickly is brought into focus. The Centre provides a diverse range of learning experiences to harness the value in blended learning. Using workshops, group work, 1:1, practical activities, shadowing, mentoring, coaching not only means learning messages are reinforced they are more likely to reach your employees with different learning styles and preferences.
OurLeader 2 Leaderprogramme is a great example of where a number of different learning experiences combine to create a tailored and powerful leadership programme, each delegate can make their own connection with the learning on offer and benefit from the additional learning picked up from fellow delegates.
Our next Leader 2 Leader cohort starts in spring and there is still time to join. You could be joining other delegates from Responsive Ltd, Copeland Age and Advice Service, Copeland Council, RWM and Sellafield. Contact us to find out more.
For future cohorts, we have teamed up with Sellafield Ltd and One AIM to provide bursaries for local leaders from small business and third sector organisations to enable them to take part in Leader 2 Leader. Applications are open until to 12th February 2021. You can find out more and how to apply here.
Over the last 5 years we have engaged with almost 60 local organisations (large and small) to design and deliver blended learning programmes, that’s over 1000 local people who have had the opportunity to keep pace with changes in the workplace by engaging in an effective learning process. Over the next 5 years we want to expand this community of leadership learning, the more people we engage with, the richer the learning experience, the greater the pace of learning and the more likely it is Cumbrian leaders will keep up with the rate of change.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us for a no obligation chat.
