Last week saw the start of a new exciting project for CfLP working with both a primary and secondary school to support the Young Generation Networks STEM in a BOX idea. Claire from CfLP/Primary Business Partnership, Sophie, Robert, Dylan (YGN) and Kate (Business Toolbox Cumbria) worked with the year 6 and year 5 classes at Richmond Hill school. They worked with the students to come up with themes and questions they would like the older students at Beacon Hill to help them answer by designing resources for a STEM box.
On Wednesday and Thursday this week, Nicola from CfLP delivered a session on skills development and project management to kick start the project in the secondary school and then the students were given their task by the year 5 and 6 students through an online MS-Teams meeting. Over the coming weeks, as part of their industry project curriculum, the Beacon Hill students will meet a range of local industry partners who will help them to complete the task and they will present their resources back to the primary school at the end of January.
We can’t wait to see what ideas they come up with.
