Lifelong leadership learning in Cumbria

Bright Stars Secondary

OVERVIEW

Our Bright Stars primary programme has shown tremendous benefit and impact on the children, staff and business involved. We are keen to ensure we can support young people to build on this learning and create a culture of aspiration and enterprise, whilst helping young people to develop leadership and teamwork skills, confidence, and self-belief as they showcase hidden talents and start to link learning to the world of work in a fun accessible way.

This year we are piloting a secondary Bright Stars programme with St Benedict’s year 8 classes, this pilot has been funded by a grant from Cumbria Community Foundation through the Beverley Charitable Trust Fund and supported by business mentors from McMenon Engineering and Sellafield.
