The bespoke Elements programme designed and delivered by the Centre for Leadership Performance offers five-day work awareness programmes in collaboration with Sellafield Ltd staff and companies and organisations within the wider nuclear supply chain.
The aim is to engage with young people to help highlight and shape the skills required within the Nuclear Sector to strengthen the talent pipeline. CforLP will coach and mentor the students and facilitate all the sessions throughout the Elements programme, with at least five 5-day sessions taking place during the academic year.

Engineering skills and the potential for using digital and innovative technology including robotics was included in the scope of the Elements 2023 work awareness programme developed for Sellafield Ltd to involve Year 10 and Year 12 students in Copeland and Allerdale.
There was a focus on raising awareness of critical skills needs, in particular Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), allowing individuals to access opportunities and to understand the breadth of career opportunities within Sellafield Ltd and the wider supply chain.
Representatives from Sellafield Ltd and Tier 2 supply chain companies delivered sessions against their areas of expertise. They are designed to raise awareness of the range of disciplines, job roles and capabilities that are required within the nuclear sector. Young people also gained opportunities to develop wide-ranging skills including leadership, teamwork, problem solving and communication.
