Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Project Quality Engineer working for Jacobs Engineering on various projects based at Sellafield. I’ve been working on Sellafield for almost 7.5 years and have worked on different aspects of Quality within projects, varying from the documentation required upfront to the on-site inspection and testing. My job involves carrying out audits on new suppliers, involvement in setting up and maintaining Quality Management Systems, working alongside the Design department and suppliers to ensure the job is designed and built properly and items are made and installed correctly. This involves Quality Assurance – upfront checking and Quality Control – during Design, Construction, Installation or Fabrication to check that it is being done as they said it was going to be done!
