Work Awareness Programmes for 2021

We are now in the process of offering schools across West Cumbria places on our exciting and unique work awareness programmes, ProjX and Elements, for 2021!

These programme are funded by Sellafield and we work with a wide range of SME’s. This programme provides these small businesses an opportunity to offer work experience where normal work experience would be a barrier.

We are proud to be project managing and delivering Sellafield’s work experience programme, Elements, in partnership with the supply chain partners. This exciting programme showcases the range of engineering disciplines and roles with Sellafield and their supply chain.

Projx is an opportunity for young people to access quality work awareness. The Centre for Leadership Performance works in collaboration with local SME’s and micro business to deliver this quality work awareness.

The work awareness programmes support students to gain a greater understanding of a range of local businesses, employers and organisations across Cumbria and benefit from meaningful engagements with them.

Students are given the opportunity to further develop a large range of transferable skills in problem solving, collaboration, creativity, innovation as well as leadership, teamwork, communication, and planning. Embedding skills development and opportunities for pupils to develop key leadership skills needed for the future.

From as little as an hour your can volunteer your time to support these programmes- find out more about volunteering your time here.
