Cumbria Future Leaders
Cumbria Future Leaders was created by the Centre for Leadership Performance to engage 16-25 year olds across Cumbria and support them as they transition into employment or higher education. It gives them a voice and brings together youth boards, young professional networks, and youth and community organisations to work collaboratively for greater impact and connect with employers, educators and communities. We have a range of FREE career-related resources and opportunities for young people aged 16-30 through our Cumbria Future Leaders platform.
Programmes for Young People
Our work awareness programmes for young people aim to build confidence and readiness for the transition from education to the workplace. Additionally, we offer a FREE signposting service for 16-30-year-olds, connecting them with local opportunities. Our early career support provides information, helps build key leadership skills, and engages young people with county issues.
Get Involved
There are many ways you can get involved including volunteering to inspire the next generation of leaders, sharing your expertise and guidance as a mentor, helping primary pupils develop mini social enterprises, helping primary pupils build key skills or joining the Cumbria Future Leaders Steering Group to help shape CFL’s direction and influence activities for young people as they transition into employment or higher education.
