Cumbria Future Leaders
Cumbria Future Leaders was created by the Centre for Leadership Performance to engage 16-25 year olds across Cumbria and support them as they transition into employment or higher education. It gives them a voice and brings together youth boards, young professional networks, youth and community organisations to work collaboratively for greater impact and connect with employers, educators and communities. Your: Future. Here, funded by Sellafield Ltd, is a FREE to use signposting and matchmaking service co-ordinating existing activity and identifying and creating new opportunities.
Programmes for Young People 13-18
We collaborate with local businesses, educators and young people to create programmes that provide young people and employers with opportunities to learn from each other. We provide leadership opportunities for young people through high quality activities such as enterprise and campaigning programmes, and work awareness and leadership programmes including ProjX and Dream Placement. All our programmes develop leadership skills and confidence in readiness for the workplace. We also offer a FREE to use signposting and brokerage service for 16-18 year olds.
Programmes for Early Careers, 18-30
It can be tricky to navigate your way from education into the workplace. Our Early Career support will help you make connections, find information, develop relevant skills and have your say. We provide a FREE-to-use signposting and brokerage service as well as development programmes, mentoring and the chance to connect with a broader network of opportunities. We also think it is vital that you have the chance to engage with emerging issues in the county and help to shape your own future.
