The Cumbrian Lean/Continuous Improvement Forum was established in 2016 and was born out of conversations with Iggesund Paperboard Ltd. It aims to give companies and organisations in Cumbria the opportunity to informally come together with a common focus and desire to collaborate, share best practice and ideas in the areas of Lean Processes and Continuous Improvement across industries.
The Forum currently has 26 members from an exciting mix of organisations across Cumbria who work in Continuous Improvement and/or Lean Processes. The group is now looking for new members, the aim is to bring this group up to a maximum of 30 members. Is this something your organisation would be interested in joining?
The Cumbrian Lean/CI Forum is project managed by the Centre for Leadership Performance and is a ‘closed’ group who meet on a quarterly basis at the premises of one of the members.
Members also benefit from an exclusive web portal where they can share stories, resources and notices on all things Lean/CI. It also features an on-line discussion forum and private members’ directory.
The annual membership fee to join this exclusive group is £250+VAT per company/organisation (or division for some very large companies/organisations).
All requests for membership will be considered under the following guidelines:
Membership is open to companies/organisations that have an operational site in Cumbria. The primary contact from the company/organisation should be someone whose current role involves managing or leading Lean Processes and/or Continuous Improvement, primarily within manufacturing and/or operations.
If your organisation is interested in becoming a member please contact us.
Great opportunity to network and have a deeper appreciation of Lean/CI with like-minded professionals.
I very much enjoyed the Pirelli event and took a lot from it. It was a great opportunity to see the tools talked about being used in practice.
The events I’ve attended were very worthwhile and have given me some practical stuff and ideas to implement.
From being a member I have gained an understanding of how different organisations manage the process and organisational improvement processes from strategies to coalface implementation.
The event allowed me to gauge where I’m with,my understanding and to measure where my organisation sits with its thinking.I have already made contacts.
