Emmy returned to Cumbria after living and working in London. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at City, University of London. Following her graduation, Emmy secured a position as an Office Coordinator for the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), the globally recognised independent authority for precious metals. This role provided Emmy with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the financial services sector, albeit within a highly specialised field.

Through hard work and dedication, Emmy advanced within LBMA, and gained compliance experience at an Investment Bank before returning to LBMA as a Compliance Analyst. In this role, Emmy collaborates with multiple departments to manage and develop LBMA’s compliance program across its various activities. Additionally, she supports market development projects, with a particular focus on data and analytics.

Emmy’s commitment to social responsibility is evidenced by her volunteer work as a tutor, assisting students facing socio-economic challenges. Since returning to Cumbria, Emmy has remained active in supporting young people, notably through her former membership of the BECBC Shadow Board, which promotes business collaboration to address challenges such as sustainability, diversity, and next generation support. Subsequently, Emmy joined the Cumbria Future Leaders Steering Group, which aligns with her values and goals.

As a Director of the Centre for Leadership Performance, Emmy aims to bring her proactive and can-do attitude to the group, empowering Cumbria’s youth to become leaders and change agents. She believes that it is crucial to value and show compassion towards the younger generation as they are the driving force behind progress and societal change. Dr. Seuss’ quote, “Adults are just outdated children,” underscores Emmy’s belief in the transformative power of youth. Emmy looks forward to supporting the development of CforLP and driving positive, long-lasting change across Cumbria.
